ZenworksWindowsService.exe Event 1000 Application Error

Jump to solution

Hello all,

We are having a recurring issue with one user where the ZenworksWindowsService.exe fails to start, the event logs show "Event 1000 Application Error".

It states that ImageDataBridge.dll is the faulting module name, exception code 0xc0000409

We are currently using 2017 Update 4.

Any ideas how to find a permanent fix for this issue?

Thanks, Daniel.

If this a managed device, may suggest a complete uninstall of the agent and reinstall.

The only recent case of this particular error was seen when the JoinProxy Runs out of Connections, which impacted the agent.

Is the Agent configured to use a JoinProxy?

As a Reminder, the primary reason for using a JoinProxy is for Devices outside the Corporate Lan to connect into the JoinProxy in the DMZ so they can be reached for Remote Control.

Normally they are not needed for devices inside the network in most cases.

If there is not any JoinProxy involved, there have been no other reported cases of which I am aware on this particular modular in any 2017.x version.

You may try the following:

Delete/remove image safe data with ZISWIN and restart system

OR

Disable Imaging feature/spoke for that device, refresh device and restart system

This does not apply......

"Disable Imaging feature/spoke for that device, refresh device and restart system"

The agent still reads/writes/uses ZISD even w/o that spoke installed.  Removing that spoke is not recommended, even if you never use Imaging, since it will prevent the install of the ZISWIN.exe tool which is still necessary, since the agent still reads the ZISD outside of imaging.
