Zone login failing on first reboot following 11.3 agent inst

We are finding that after an upgrade to, or fresh install of, the ZCM 11.3 agent, on the first reboot user login to the zone fails. The ZENworks login box pops up, but all attempts to login fail. The second and subsequent reboots of the device correctly log straight into the zone with no prompts. This issue has only started with 11.3 - previous agent versions were fine. Anyone else seen this?

we seem to be having the same issue but if you put the password in the zenworks box 3 or 4 times it goes on by. It goes by fine tieh our teacher accounts but our student accounts seem to take 3 or more tries with the password to go on by. Says "invalid credentials or certificate"

Basically I had a proxy in the locations/ network enviroment/(whatever you have here)\settings. That i guess was playing havoc with the logins.. I cleared it and refreshed machines and all works fine now

Thanks for the info. In our case this issue is specific to the first reboot after the 11.3 agent upgrade. Works fine the rest of the time, and never had this problem with previous agent updates.

Novell are playing their "it's meant to work like this now" card, which basically means that they haven't a clue. It clearly isn't working as designed, unless it was designed badly. I'm a long-time Novell supporter, so I remember when Novell products were reliable. Sadly, in the case of ZENworks at least, those days are long gone.

Do you have an SR open with NTS? I'm just curious where/who is telling you it's a Working As Designed.

Yes Kevin, we have an SR. Novell told us this - seems to be their stock answer if they can't figure out what's wrong. I used to be a huge fan (and supporter) of Novell's products, so it really saddens me that I am starting to loose faith in ZENworks these days.
