new image on every pxe boot

How can configure zcm to put a new image on computers every time they pxe boot?
I have hardware rules poiting to image bundle.
When a new machine pxe boots the image will come down.
Next time the machine pxe boots it has no work to do.
I have checked marked force download.

Re: new image on every pxe boot

Frigge,

you need to a) clear the image-safe data (hint: use an imaging script
and add "zisedit -c"), and b) make sure the device isn't registered.
Otherwise, we can try to work something out...

Re: new image on every pxe boot

yes i know that solution :)..
But i would like to have the image safe data still on the machine.

Example:
Classroom with 20 computers.
They all boot on harddrive.
But when they presss F12 for network boot zcm should put a new image on the device.
And i do not want a new object in ZCM console.

Re: new image on every pxe boot

Frigge,

I can't think of any way to do it without running zman on a regular
basis

Re: new image on every pxe boot

Hi Shaun,

Is there a way I can get "zisedit -r" (or -c) to run before "img auto" from a custom item on the ZEN imaging menu? At the moment, I'm having to go into Imagingin Maintenance, type "zisedit -r", then "img auto".

I want to make this process a simple as possible for the guys I have reimaging our desktops.

cheers
