Update PBA branding without reinstall

Hello!

We using FDE with PBA to secure our notebooks.
Before apply the FDE policy a branding bundle is installed (FDE policy requirede this bundle installed).

Now we must update the brandning to add some information on the screen.
Is there a possibility to update the branding with out decrypting, unassign policy, re-assign policy (installing PBA) and encrypting the device?

I think there are a lot of tools under %windir%\NAC to do this?

Perhaps fdeinit /rebrand 🙂

best regards

Andre

There is not really a supported way.

I would suggest entering an enhancement on the ideas page.

Definitely worthwhile if you really want to do custom branding.

Respected Contributor.

After a long time i found perhaps a solution.

It is possible to change the background image with the tool pbaadmin.exe, found unter c:\windows\nac\sbs

The tool need the PBA Admin password which is found in ZENworks Console at the given device under the Tab "Encryption".

pbaadmin.jpg

So i think there is also a automated solution 🙂

PBAScriptAPI[7028:10072]: Call PBAAdmin with temporary script.
PBAScriptAPI[7028:10072]: szExeFullPath C:\Windows\NAC\SBS\PBAAdmin.EXE
PBAScriptAPI[7028:10072]: Commandline @C:\Windows\NAC\SBS\AUTOCONF.ROS

Thanks Andre....

When I previously inquired, I was told there was not really a way....

I will go back and make a "Doc" bug and point back to what you have.

Hopefully they will give it a thumbs up....
