Adding users in imanager

I am trying to add users to be able to access them with Novell client. I
know you can have different levels of users and that is what I am trying
to do here

After I create the user it pops up with the error that it can't find the
object in the context. If you can help resolve this that would really
help

If you are confused by what I am saying can you walk me step by step on
how to add a user?

Re: Adding users in imanager

Hi Wolfgang,

I do that but then when I go to modify the user it says that it doesn't
exist

Re: Adding users in imanager

It would help to see what data you entered when you tried to create the
user.

You might be entering the user with the wrong format. You need to
enter it this way: username.ou.o

If you are unsure of the format, it might be easier if you just click
on the magnifying glass and browse to the user you created. You
should be able to just select it and then modify whatever you need to
modify.

Re: Adding users in imanager

I only entered the name, first late, last name and password for them. Is
there anything else I have to add?

Re: Adding users in imanager

You need to specify the context at some point, unless that was already
specified. This will be where in the tree the object goes.

Re: Adding users in imanager

I think I am entering it wrong so I will try that and see if that solves
the problem
