C#, eDirectory and SSL

Hi
I try to connect with eDirectory via LDAPLibrary for c#. When server with
eDirectory doesn't require ssl/tls, than everything is ok. When server
requires ssl/tsl and i know about it, everything is ok too. But when i
don't know about SSL-requirements I have problem. I try to connect without
SSL (on port 389). Than i have exception "Confidentiality Required". So, I
try again, with ssl (just when I know about ssl) - i change port, enable
ssl property and try connect again. And than I got another exception "The
authentication or decryption has failed". I don't know how can I correct
this (or, maybe how can i know if server requires ssl or not).

Re: C#, eDirectory and SSL

If the server responded with "Confidentiality Required" more than likely
then the server is only allowing SSL or TLS connections when performing
a Simple Bind.

SSL is not available on the same port as non-SSL traffic. Normaly port 389.

TLS is available on the non-SSL port. The connection starts as
non-encrypted and then you need to issue a start TLS.
