Re: Error adding a new server as a replica

There are lots of possible reasons for this. First i'd check for a valid CA object (make sure that the "hostserver" attribute exists and points to the server you want to host the CA). Likely it's all ok as apparently the certificates for the new server indeed have been created, but that's the first thing to check in such a case ever since NW5.

If the certificates are ok (validate them from iManager or simply check that you can connect to the new box via secure LDAP), it might really be a timing issue as the installation routine creates lots of objects which it references shortly after. If something hasn't been synched properly yet, you eventually catch errors like these.

If it's "just" the http config which has failed (and all the rest is ok) you can run ndsconfig with the "-m" parameter referencing http to just configure this module.

Re: Error adding a new server as a replica

H, your lines more read like adding a new server to the eDirectory tree.

Have a look at /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/log/PKIHealth.log, that helped me a lot in cases where SAS/KMOs seem to make a problem...
