Google Cloud Directory Sync

What third party software do I need to sync my edirectory ldap passwords to GCDS. Or is there a script that can read the userPassword and put it in another attribute?

Re: Google Cloud Directory Sync

NetIQ Identity Manager (IDM) is a product that can synchronize from
eDirectory to anywhere else, including passwords if you have configured
Universal Password (UP) for your users.

There are other options if you use UP, but typically using IDM is best
since it gives you realtime synchronization of all changes, meaning when
the password changes it changes everywhere at the same time; when a new
user is created, they are created everywhere you define via policy; when
terminated, they are removed from everywhere automatically and simultaneously.

Re: Google Cloud Directory Sync

Does it need to be installed on the same server as edirectory? Or can it just point to where my directory is at?

IDM is installed on top of eDirectory (technically the sync engine is an eDir
Plugin). Most drivers that connect to external apps can (or have to be)
outsourced via so-called Remote Loaders that can run side-by-side with the
engine on the same machine or elsewhere remotely.
