How to remove a superclass from an object class?

We are having the issue described in TID 7003431

We have identified an object class with two superclasses and as per the
TID, the TOP superclass should be removed from the class in question.

Now, we did open an SR with Novell, but this is holding up a major
system upgrade. So I thought I'd try all possible avenues.

Does anyone know how this is accomplished? All the TIDs say it
requires a "dial in" from novell.

Thanks!

Are there any objects of this particular class?

The object class in question is the "Person" class.

So if the "person" object class is deleted and recreated will that
invalidate all object dependent on that class ie...users objects.

in that case, yeah, you'll need a dial in

Neat! How'd you manage to get there?

In my experience, if the TID says "dial in", that's the only resolution.

Hi,

You need Novell for this on...

They can ( cough ) fix the problem without further breaking things.

I would strongly advise against self help for this one.

If you need a faster solution, call and ask for the SR to be escalated
and explain the situation.
