Re: Monitor Logins

iManager allows auditing of logins to itself, if that's what you're after,
but those are typically (always) sent off to a reporting server and not
viewed within iManager. imanager's debugging page probably shows logins,
but that's not fun.

What are you after in terms of a business case? Want to see who is in
now? Want to see who has been in recently? Just to iManager or also to
other things connecting to eDirectory? Typically auditing eDirectory is
the right way to go since forgoing iManager (or even just a single audited
setup of iManager) is trivial and probably preferred by, for example,
would-be attackers.

Re: Monitor Logins

Assuming "the system" means eDirectory, enable eDirectory auditing. The
eDirectory forum is probably the better place to discuss this (there are
some ongoing discussions on this already, I think, in the Linux-specific
forum) but basically just follow the documentation for auditing. Enable
it via iManager (depends on eDirectory version and iManager plugins for
eDirectory, all of which are covered in the eDir forum) and then just
checking checkboxes and pointing events to a server like NetIQ/Novell
Sentinel or NetIQ/Novell Log Manager. Other options include just writing
to a file for monitoring via your own favorite means.

Re: Monitor Logins

Could never get the XDAS tab to show up in iManager even though all the
services are configured on the server

Tried uninstalled and re-adding 88 plugins but to no avail

Did you try disabling iManager's roles? I recall that was the only way I
could get if to appear.

I did this (as a test to prove that the underlying problem was an issue
with iManager RBS config)

https://www.netiq.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3739679

If that test works, then I suggest you remove and reconfigure RBS from
scratch.

This is documented in the iManager doc -
https://www.netiq.com/documentation/imanager/imanager_admin/data/am757mw.html#b8qqpwi

However, in some cases the removal might leave some traces which cause
problems when recreating RBS. If so, this TID might help.

https://www.netiq.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7014166

If after following the instructions above you still can't get this to
work - I'd suggest you open a SR.
