Nonroot patch3 of edir 8.8 shows old version still

I have installed edir 8.8 as nonroot and it had a build of 20801.46. In
putting the nonroot patch 3 the build still shows the same. I have used
the tarball automated script and also resorted to copying the files by
hand. I also ran ndsconfig upgrade. No matter what the build version
stays the same via ndsstat. eDir does load and is functioning though.
Anyone seeing same, or think the build number maybe didn't get changed
in the new binary? Thanks!

Re: Nonroot patch3 of edir 8.8 shows old version still

You may want to check on the server object (iManager, ConsoleOne, LDAP) to
see what is advertised there. Whether or not a specific command is
updated by a patch may the cause of what you are seeing; I do not have an
8.8 SP8 patch 3 system to check, but this has happened in the past.

Just my two bits.

Re: Nonroot patch3 of edir 8.8 shows old version still

Nevermind... patched to 8.8 SP8 Patch 3 (root-install and instance) and
found this output:

[1] Instance at
/etc/opt/novell/eDirectory/gwappstree/nts210a/conf/nds.conf:
nts210a.dc=nts210a.dc=server.dc=system.GWAPPSTREE
Tree Name: GWAPPSTREE
Server Name: .CN=nts210a.dc=nts210a.dc=server.dc=system.T=GWAPPSTREE.
Binary Version: 20804.05
Root Most Entry Depth: 0
Product Version: eDirectory for Linux x86_64 v8.8 SP8 [DS]

Maybe check checksums of files to see if they were updated, or see if the
non-root install includes a newer version of these vs. older installs.
