If you really want to stop you'll have to stop tomcat too, the apache
webserver is nothing more than a passthru for iManager as everything
for it runs inside the web application hosted by tomcat.

Except other services might use Tomcat and the OP specifically asked
about stopping NetStorage and iManager.

Then you still have the same problem when stopping the apache
webserver....

Which is why, in my first reply to this thread, I suggested renaming
both netstorage.conf and nps-Apache.conf in /etc/opt/novell/httpd/conf.d.
