configure the LDAP driver to communicate over TLS

We currently using LDAP drivers, i do not see an option to use TLS. When configuring the driver, i enabled the SSL parameter and import the cert  into the KMO, as well as specify port 636 in URL. Please share the configuration steps to configure the LDAP driver to communicate over TLS.

Re: configure the LDAP driver to communicate over TLS

TLS vs SSL is something of  misnomer.  Really, TLS is SSL 3.something.

The core difference between SSL and TLS is that you can start a TLS session clear text, then StartTLS which adds encryption.  The problem is, the password is usually sent before the StartTLS command. So not so great.

The JVM under the covers, uses the supported SSL/TLS session and thus if you make an encrypted LDAP connection via the driver, it is TLS 1.2 since the JVM in IDM no longer even supports SSL 3.0 or heck TLS 1.0 or 1.1 even.
