eDir 887 SP2

Just upgraded eDir on a SLES 10 SP 4 server to version 887 SP2. 32 bit
server.

The last instruction in the install notes is:

Replace the libdir variable as follows
For 32-bit Linux, Solaris and AIX platforms: lib
For the 64-bit Linux platform: lib64
For the 64-bit Solaris platform: lib/sparcv9

Not sure how to do this or what it means.

Help!

Re: eDir 887 SP2

Probably about setting up the PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH stuff; the better
way of doing all of this is to just `source
/opt/novell/eDirectory/bin/ndspath` and be done with it, maybe putting
that command in your user's ~/.bashrc or ~/.profile file. If there is
really no more context than what you posted it's probably something they
meant to remove (maybe it's automatic for everybody now) and missed some.
Oops.

Good luck.

I trust (and hope) this was not an OES2 SP3 (which is an add-on for
SLES10 SP4) server but instead just plain SLES10 SP4 since eDirectory
patches for OES are handled differently.

HTH.

Re: eDir 887 SP2

Stand alone SLES 10 SP 4. Non OES.

All updates for my OES servers are done via my SMT server.
