eDir authentication to a Sub-Reference

I am collecting eDir authentication events using NAudit and eDir.
Instrumentation and Log Manager.
I am able to collect data on all the partitions except for one.
I notice that I never collect data from a server that has only a
Sub-Reference on it.
Is is possible that users cannot authenticate to a Sub-Reference?

Re: eDir authentication to a Sub-Reference

Not on its own, but that sub-ref can walk the tree to make things easier
on the client, and will do so by default (unless you configure it to do
otherwise), particularly in cases like LDAP where the ability to give a
referral over NCP is not quite as common (sure, it can be done, but I've
only seen referrals used on object lookups, not on binds, and NCP was
designed to do this day and night).

Correct. Users cannot authenticate to a SubRef.
