eDirectory Audit configuration not working

Dear all,

I have an issue with iManager 3.x. For me it does not make any difference if iManager 3.0.2.x, 3.0.3 or 3.0.3.1 is installed - every time the plugin to manage/configure eDirectrory Auditing (edirectoryinstrumentation 9.*) is not available to be selected from the Roles&Tasks in iManager. But it is listed as installed in iManager configuration UI.

I have an ongoing SR open for more than a week now, but with no results.

I am wondering I someone did experience the same - I know at least from one other new installed environment affected by this issue, already!

We are running eDirectory 9.0.3 and iManager on top of a SELS 11.4 server.

Any hint is welcome 😉

Kind regards,

Thorsten

Re: eDirectory Audit configuration not working

Have you extended eDirectory schema from the 'ediraudit.sch' file s that
schema exists for things like NAuditInstrumentation (attribute) on the
'NCP Server' class? If not, I do not think the role shows up.

My iManager 3.0 SP2 Patch 1 install (fresh from IDM 4.6 media) shows it
and I only have the eDir, NMAS, and IDM plugins explicitly installed.

Thanks for answering!
I can confirm that the schema has been extended - when setting the xdas attributes manually the instrumentation can be started.
It is even more confusing since accessing the edirecrory with iManager intalled on a workstation the instumentation plugin is showing up!

No clue what's gooing wrong here 😞

Ah, in that case have you reviewed Role-Based Services (RBS) to see if
that is configured? Maybe your workstation version is forcing
Unrestricted mode, and if you have not extended your RBS collection for
the eDirectory Auditing role with its associated task, then it will not
show up.

Re: eDirectory Audit configuration not working

Hi,

with the server installation of iManager it does not make any difference if RBS is installed or not! Even if I set iManager to unrestricted mode the current Audit plugin is not showing up.
Even more confusing: IN RBS there is only a version 2.6 Audit Plugin - which is definitely to old !

Kind regards,
