How, with lots of specific details, are you trying to change the password
within iManager?

Does this user have Universal Password (UP) setup and is that being changed?

Can you change the password via LDAP just to rule out iManager? Does
another iManager instance behave differently?

Does this happen in another eDirectory environment? For another identical
user in this environment? With newer versions of eDirectory?
