iManager - 626 Error

I have just installed iManager Workstation 2.7.7 on a Windows 7 machine
for the first time. When trying to login I get the following error:

"(Error -626) The object could not be found. It is possible that the
object exists, but the server could not communicate with the server
holding a copy of the object"

eDirectory version is 8.8.4 sitting on Windows 2008. It is the only
server in the tree so there is no other server to contact. I have tried
using my own account and the Admin account and tey both fail. These
accounts can be used from ConsoleOne successfully. eDirectory services
are up and running on the server. I have not applied any plug-ins yet so
this is a vanilla install of iManager. Any idea's anyone?

Re: iManager - 626 Error

A typical reason for this error is an incorrectly entered user name or
tree name.

Try the server's IP address as tree name, and your login name in the
format "myname.myou.myorg"

Re: iManager - 626 Error

Thanks Wolfgang. I forgot to mention I was trying to get iManager
connected to our Identity Vault used to connect AD to other systems and
keep passwords sync'ed etc. Tried using the IP Address of the vault
instead (as suggested in your link) and this produced another error
(-669) Invalid password. This was odd as the password is the same used
to access connected systems so I would have thought it should work. I
then had the password of my userid in the vault reset to match that of
my connected systems and was then able to login, strange! Thanks for
your help.
