iManager on SLES 15

Has anyone tried to install iManager 3.1.2 on SLES 15? The release notes say it is supported, but when I tried to install it, it fails on the tomcat RPMs. It looks like they are looking for netstat to be available, but that has been replaced by dstat on SLES 15. Is there a trick/workaround?

Hi
The /usr/bin/netstat tool is part of net-tools-deprecated, you can grab
a copy here;
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/network%3Autilities/net-tools
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/utilities/SLE_15/x86_64/net-tools-deprecated-2.0+git20180626.aebd88e-829.1.x86_64.rpm

Seems it would need to be updated to use the equivalent ip commands...

It's not the same as dstat?
Versatile vmstat, iostat and ifstat Replacement

If that's really what you need, eg vmstat, this is in the procps
package which is part of SLE 15.

I ended up opening an SR.

Turns out there is a Legacy Repo (Legacy_Module_15) which has a package called "net-tools-deprecated". I installed that, which provided netstat, and was able to install iManager.

The iManager 3.1 docs have been updated to reflect this now per my SR:

https://www.netiq.com/documentation/imanager-31/imanager_install/data/b16mhc5o.html#b18oixnb

I still think the installer should be updated to check for these requirements, but at least it is documented now.

Thanks for haring your results . I agree the installer should know things,
but better yet it should be updated to NOT use old things; 'ss' is like
netstat, but easier to type and not deprecated as far as I know, so it
should probably be used in lieu of netstat, just like 'ip' should be used
instead of 'ifconfig' and 'route' in all cases.
