nspmDistributionPassword Not Replicating in One Direction

I have two Windows 2008 R2 server running eDirectory 8.8.7. One of the
server was recently installed an joined to an existing tree on the other
server. Let's call the original eDir replica "O" and the new eDir
replica "N". When a user is created in O the nspmDistributionPassword
does not replicate to N. As far as I can tell, all other attribute
replicate fine. If I reset the password on O, it never makes it to N.
If I try to reset the password on N (using "set Universal Password") I
get an LDAP error in iManager.

The strange thing is, if I create the new user on N, everything makes it
over to O just fine. I can reset the password on either replica and it
flows to the other replica as expected. It is only when the user is
created on O that this problem exists.

I've checked the nds logs and I don't see anything out of the ordinary.
It just seems like the replication from O to N for
nspmDistributionPassword isn't even happening unless the user was
created on N.

Any ideas as to cause or effective ways to troubleshoot would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank You.

How do you know that attribute does not replicate? Where are you seeing,
or not seeing, it that you would normally see it?

I presume you are NOT using Identity Manager, but if you are then post in
the IDM forum with traces from both sides; where you talk about
replication this seems more like you think this is a basic eDirectory
issue. If that's the case, well, I have no idea. All attributes are the
same when it comes to replication; either they go, or they do not. Unless
you have a time sync problem, which could impact things, it should not
matter. With that in mind, fix time synchronization. If you had a time
sync problem in the past that pushed timestamps out for years, you may
need to do some drastic stuff to clean that up, but it may be better to
first test in another environment to ensure your environment build steps
work properly.
