"You must specify a physical volume"

I'm trying to make a volume in eDirectory using ConsoleOne on Windows
Server 2003. But when i attempt to create it one, it gives me the error:
"You must specify a physical volume". What does this mean and how can it
be fixed? I'm a beginner to the Novell/NetIQ world. Just a heads up! 🙂

Volumes are part of an NCP server instance - you need an NCP server that
provides file services for this, which means NetWare or OES. Volume
objects cannot be created (to my knowledge) for Windows servers.

Re: "You must specify a physical volume"

You can't since a Volume object must be associated with an NCP Server,
which Windows is not.
