Allow users to download the client checkbox not working ?

Hi,

Running iPrint appliance v4 with Patches 1-3.

Unchecking "Settings > Allow users to download the client from iPrint Portal or Welcome Page" doesn't seem to make any difference even after an appliance restart.

Only unusual thing is I do have the legacy /ipp page enabled.

Can someone confirm that this setting is broken for them too ? (if so, I will log an SR).

I assume I am understanding this correctly - that it should REMOVE the option to download the iPrint Client ?

I am running version 4.0.2 (haven't applied patch 3 yet.  But unchecking that box on my appliances does remove the download link.  I haven't used the legacy /ipp page in a while so not sure if that has any bearing or not.

This option is only valid for the /printers page. It will not have any effect on the /ipp page

Running here 4.0.3 and enable/disable this option, remove/add the link to download the client on /printers page so it is working fine

It doesn't remove it for either /ipp or /printers for me.

I will try a fresh appliance before we enable the /ipp page to see if that is the difference.

If you're using Internet Explorer 11 and you continue to see the "Install iPrint Client" option after making this change, it is most likely due to the iPrint server's IP address or DNS name having been added to the Compatibility View settings
