Business InkJet 2300N driver problems

Hi Folks

We use in our Novell environment HP Business InkJet 2300N but have sundry problems with the driver and the output from Word 2003 SP2.

These are all drivers which we tested to use for:

- HP Universal Print Driver for Windows - PCL 5 (2.75.0.2 6. Sep 2006):
The quantity exemplar is set to three but the Printer prints only one exemplar.

- HP Business Inkjet 2300 series PCL5 driver (add printer "lite", WHQL certified) (1.1 (60.32.156.45) 29 Jun 2005):
The quantity is set to three; the Printer prints 3 times page 1 then 3 times page 2 and 3 times page 3 although sorting is checked on!

- HP Business Inkjet 2300 series PCL6 driver (add printer "lite", WHQL certified) (1.1 (60.32.156.45) 29 Jun 2005):
Same error like the universal driver

Next we tested these drivers from a HP support document:
- English language Win 2k and XP PCL5 driver v 1.0:
By printing a Word document, the printer begins and then holds with the error: Printer error turn Printer off and on
In the event log from the Printer page is the follow error registered: 0096-E8BB aveCleaver.cpp: 150

- English language Win 2k and XP PCL6 driver v 1.0:
By printing a Word document, the printer begins and then holds with the error: Printer error turn Printer off and on
In the event log from the Printer page is the follow error registered: 0096-E8BB aveCleaver.cpp: 150

We have hundreds of these printers and they work fine from word for us,
but we are running Word 2000..

Business InkJet 2300N driver problems

Hello,

We have the same issues using the 2300N as well. Here are the issues I
have;
The printer will not print more than 3 copies.
The printer will lose spooled print jobs if there is one printing on the
printer.
The print job will not start on the page correctly when printing from JD.
Edwards but work fine in the Windows enviroment.

I called HP and they told me that the printer drivers did not support our
version of Novell and said they were not in the process of resolving the
issues. We are in process of changing our printers to the Dell 5100CN
and they work great. If any one solves this problem, I would like to
know, we still have some 2300N.
