Can't use iManager to upload print drivers to driver store?

Hi everyone,

Environment:
SLES 11 sp2, OES 11 sp1 running under ESXi 5.1 (server does not hold a replica yet but I do plan on creating a replica here soon)

I can use iManager to create Driver Store, Print Manager, create a printer etc. but cannot then upload printer drivers to the Driver Store. Getting errors: "Add from File not supported" and "Add from system must done with IE 5.5 or later". I have tried this with both firefox and IE 11 browsers. Is it possible to get this to work or does this have to be done from Linux command line utility, iprntman?

I am attempting to load both 32 and 64-bit Windows 7 printer drivers to the Driver Store. Surely others have run into this problem? Thanks!

Re: Can't use iManager to upload print drivers to driver sto

I think iPrint in OES11SP1 doesn't support IE11. I would suggest IE8 or IE9.

If you're using IE11:

The following error is returned when attempting to upload printer
drivers or create printer driver profiles.

The option to add from file is not currently supported

Workaround these problems by:

Open Internet Explorer in "Run as Administrator Mode"
Using Windows File Explorer, browse to c:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Right-click iexplore.exe, and choose "Run as Administrator"
Go to the iManager URL.
Use the following 3 key combination to open the Compatibility
View Settings dialog within Internet Explorer:
alt + t + b
Add the iManager URL.
Upload the printer driver or create the printer driver profile.

Other browsers are not support, only IE. You can also use iprntcmd to
upload drivers.
