Cannot create driver profile

I am using iPrint on NetWare 6.5 SP2. The iPrint Client is 3.09.

Under Windows 98 and Windows XP, iManager locks when trying to save a driver
profile for a Sharp ARM-550N Multifunction copier. The driver page opens,
but once I hit 'ok' iManager is locked. (Time to kill iexplore.exe) I am
using the latest PCL6 driver for the copier.
I need clients to recognize the finisher on the copier.

I was able to create a driver profile for an HP 8100, with finisher and high
capacity feeder.

Anyone have similar issues? Suggestions?

Re: Cannot create driver profile

Daniel Griswold,

I've never seen that printer. But one thing that comes to mind is, if
iManager is giving you problems, try it from NWAdmin instead. Sure NWAdmin
lacks the tab for Windows XP Drivers. But you can create it as a Windowss
2000 printer as that will install nicely on Windows XP clients as well.

Re: Cannot create driver profile

NetWare administrator does not support driver configuration profiles.

I am able to upload the driver. I am not able to create a profile using
iManager.

Thanks for the post though.

Re: Cannot create driver profile

Daniel Griswold,

Does it make any difference if you try to run iManager from another
workstation?

I'm having the same problem. I have a variety of Sharp printers (AR-
M350, AR-M450, AR-M700, etc). Anytime I try to create a profile for the
Sharps, it always fails (hangs IE), but is successful for HP's. If I
wait long enough I will get an error "remote procedure call failed, error
code 1726, spooler service stopped".

I've tried this on numerous workstations (XP & W2K). Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
