Client side driver updates...

I'm using NW6.5sp5, NDPS Manager v.3.01t, and iManager 2.6(if that's
relevant). I want to be able to make changes to a driver profile, and
have those changes be sent out to the clients. I don't really care
when(immediately, next login, etc..) it happens. From what I see there's
no way to tell iPrint to update the client side driver. It seems to me,
there should be an "Update Client Side Driver" button somewhere in the
Print Driver Profile section within iManager. Does this function exist
anywhere?

Thanks,
Blair

We do not yet have a driver/profile update feature built-in to the
client. But to sidestep the issue, you can rename the printer agent on
the server and that will force an update of the printer on the workstation
(it basically deletes the printer and re-adds it). I know that is a
little of a kludge, but it seems to do the trick.

I tried that and it gave a message stating that the administrator was
updating and to please wait and then when it tried to add it back it gave a
message saying it could not update therefore the printer was being deleted.
The sad part is even after rebooting the workstation it does not add the
printer back in. I am going to try a few things to see what might bump it to
reinstall.
