Duplicate printers after Tree Merge

Hi,

I've merged a edir tree 8.7.3.5 with 2 NW6.5 sp3 servers into a larger edir tree 8.7.3.5.
Eventually it all merged and is working. According to the TID I used, the NDPS printers on users workstations (which are delivered via remote printer management) should update themselves after the merge to point to the new treename. This is not happening. The printers stay there pointing to the old tree and then another appears pointing to the new tree. So they have duplicates of each of their printers. One working and one not. Make sense?
Is there any way of removing the old printers apart from visiting each workstation and deleting them?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Duplicate printers after Tree Merge

Since you are using RPM - you could just add them in the printers to
remove section and they will be automatically removed. I'm not sure that
the move between trees and the NDPS client being able to automatically
update has ever been tried/tested.

Re: Duplicate printers after Tree Merge

Well I'm not sure that setting them to uninstall through RPM would remove the printers as now they are in a new tree and old printers still point to the old tree.
Know what I mean??

Re: Duplicate printers after Tree Merge

Hi Michael,

With RPM you have an option to"Allow only specified printers to reside on
the workstation"
This should remove all other NDPS/iprint printers.
