Getting IPrint to work on Netware 6.5 sp8

I need to get IPrint with Windows 7 support to work on Netware 6.5 sp8.

I have IManager 2.7.2

and NDPS\Iprint 4.0.7

I have XP support on Iprint install, but no Windows 7 tabs to load drivers.

From what I have been reading I need IManager 2.7.3 FTF4. I am not sure what else...

The problem is I can not find IManager 2.7.3 FTF4 on the Novell download site.

thanks

If you've got VMware or Hyper-V it may be easier to just implement the
iPrint appliance and migrate your printers to it. Then you'll have
support not only for Windows 7, but also 8 and 8.1.

I am sure that using VMware would be easier, but that is not an option. I need to get IPrint working windows 7 with Netware in the next day or so. We are pushing out Windows 7 PC first, then we will update servers.

It has been at least a couple years since I ran iPrint on Netware so
I'm a little rusty on it, but for Windows 7 drivers I had to access
iManager using IE8 (start it with Run As Administrator) from a Windows
7 PC, otherwise I could not upload drivers. As for iManager, I think
I just had whatever version was included with the SP8 OS patches.

Re: Getting IPrint to work on Netware 6.5 sp8

Hello,

please have alook at TID 7004814 "iPrint support for Windows 7" and TID
7004724 "Unable to install Windows 7 iPrint client or a printer from the
/ipp iPrint page". In TID 7004814 it is said that windows7 support for
iPrint is given with iprntnw65sp8b-2 update for Netware 6.5 SP8 (or
higher). The latest iPrint update for Netware 6.5 SP8 is "iPrint update
for NetWare 65 support pack 8 f" from the 20th of November 2013 can be
found on "http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=GWTTNj-EIOk~" and
should be installed on the netware server. I have no further experience
because we left iPrint on Netware and turned to iPrint on OES11 before
we upgraded the clients to windows 7. But please be aware that there
will no more support concerning newer printer drivers and their
interaction with netware servers and you will have to face the problem
in which way to update the good old netware server with iPrint a)
Novell's iPrint-appliance or b) iPrint on OES 11 SP2 or ....
