IPP printers naming in Windows 2000/XP

I have many Novell IPP printers objects in my network. Users can install
they by web browser. Installed printers have orginal names which I gave them
during creation. I mean in Windows 2000/XP all installed ipp printers are
showed as they original names, e.g.
"Orginal_IPP_Printer_Name on ipp://IPP_server_name"
My users need to change printer names to more 'people friendly'.
The orginal names can't be change from Windows workstation - there's no any
option to do it. I can't change all orginal printer names becouse it is much
work to do for me.
How to install ipp printer by it's orginal name (given by me in eDirectory)
that it will be visible in Windows 2000/XP as any other name (given by
users)?

Regards,

Re: IPP printers naming in Windows 2000/XP

There currently is no way to change the printer name to something more user
friendly. An enhancement request has been submitted for consideration for a
future
release.

But we do currently allow the administrator to change the printer name to a
"short name" in the iPrint.ini. Maybe this will solve your problem?
