Iprint printers parameters

Hi,

I enabled Iprint but how to define the parameters of the printer like
tray
paper size, so all is configured when the printer driver is pushed to
the
client.

Thank you .

I can think of two ways of doing this.

The map utility in iprint allows you to set just a couple of things -like default paper size and duplex setting. Read the iprint
documentation for more on this.

The other I can think of is using ppd files (postscript drivers only)and customising those to set the defaults.

I have tried editing the ppd to override the default page size of
letter that seems to be set using w2k and iprint to no avail - but I
think thats a w2k bug rather than an issue editing ppds.

Hope that helps.

With W2k, ensure that the *default* regional settings are set to UK,
not
just the user settings. That fixed the letter size problem here.

Re: Iprint printers parameters

You are very likely right - system defaults were English (US).

Thanx
