Login to Imanager error 669

Hello,

We just installed Iprint Appliance version 1.1.0.407

I get that you can manage the Iprint service with the admin account but we would like to assign different rights to this appliance.

When logging in using my regular credentials, i am getting the following error

(Error -669) An invalid password was used, authentication failed, one server tried to synchronize with another one but the target server's database was locked, or a problem exists with the remote ID or public key.

Re: Login to Imanager error 669

Hi,

As far as I am aware this is an authentication issue with iManager and not directly an iPrint issue. Having said that I would recommend a simple test of changing your password and then trying again - I've had experience whereby passwords haven't sync'd correctly and this simple step fixes it.

Try that and let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Laura Buckley

you can not use an imported user to log in into iMan. you have to use a
local created user on the appliance.
This is due to imported users not having any password and iMan does not
do any ldap search. iMan only looks at local users.

1. Created a local user and add a password.
2. Add a password to one of the imported users on the appliance
