MAC PPD for HP 2600N...

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a MAC ppd that works with the HP Colour Laserjet 2600n?
The ones I've found so far produce jobs that get as far as the iPrint server, but never reach the physical printer.
The printer agent briefly flashes as "Printing" but nothing shows up at the business end.

TIA,

Matt

I thought this printer used a host based printer driver and did not support postscript.....

The CLJ2605 does support postscript though.

HTH.

Thanks for the reply Ian.
Apologies, I'll rephrase:
After a little bit of messing around I have this working with a driver pulled from the HP site (v1.3.0.261) on a MAC running OS 10.6. Driver isn't distributed by the iPrint mechanism, but manually changed having installed the printer with a generic PPD.
Sadly, this driver doesn't seem to work for a few of our users running 10.5.
I'm looking into this, but if anyone has a HP 2600 working through iPrint from a MAC running OS 10.5.x I'd be really grateful if you could post details of the setup.

Thanks,

Matt

No problems.

Have you tried printing directly to the printer using ip or mdns or bonjour to try to rule out iPrint altogether.

Maybe this printer is one that requires port=raw in the pa load line?

i.e.
NDPSGW PORT=RAW HOSTADDRESS=<printer IP>

instead of

NDPSGW PORT=LPR HOSTADDRESS=<printer IP> PRINTERNAME=ra
