Map Designer problem

Running NW 6.5 SP7. When I open the maptool in IE, I can only select printers by doing a search with the cluster IP. My printers show up in the list, but when I drag the icon to my map, I see the following under my printer list:

Printer agent: No printer assigned
Print Manager: Unknown

If I try to search for printers using the name or IP of the node that's running the broker and manager, I get "No printers available". What can I try? Thanks.

annoying but ok workaround for me anyhow:

After each printer addition to a map, it's as if the maptool.htm loses the connection to the printer manager. Here is how to deal with that:

To add a printer to the map, go to the printer list and choose "no printer" from the top of the list (terminology might be off). Then use the search tool to browse for the print manager - I tried to put in IP address but no go, use the dns name. Then go back, put an icon on the map, choose the printer from the list, and voila, the print manager is there.

If I did this is any other order, my printer manager would go away and not come back until I did it this way for each printer addition to my maps. This helps with the print manager unknown and no printer agent selected problem.
