Migrate printer agents, broker, and manager to new server
Hello,
I'm building a new server to replace an aging one. I'd like to move all the printer agents, print manager, and the broker to the new server. I see this link from a previous thread:
http://www.novell.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=10016871&sliceId=&dialogID=36621504&stateId=0%200%2036629190
Is that still valid on Netware 6.5.6 using iPrint? I'd like to use the server consolidation and migration toolkit, but that only seems to migrate printers to a new manager, but I'd have to still use the old manager, which is something I want to avoid.
Thanks,
Tom

Morning,
This is something i have done in the past, and found that the best way
to do this with minimal problems was to create a new broker and manager
on your new NW65SP6 server and then migrate the PA's to the new server
using the functionality in the Manage Print Manager plugin in iManager.
This will then leave you with only having to upload drivers to the new
broker. Going for the new broker might seem a lot of work, but if your
broker has been around for a while, a new broker might not be such a bad
idea as it may have a load of old drivers that you might not require.
Hope this helps, if you need any more info just let me know.
Cheers
