Mobile option grayed out on iPrint 3.0 appliances

We have an iPrint appliance for each school and one for administrative office. The version 3.0 appliances do not allow us to choose the Mobile option. Airprint, Mobile and Email are grayed out on all the printers. The mobile service is running and the license is installed. These appliances were fresh installs and the printers imported from csv. The 2.0 appliances have not had this issue. I tried the 3.1 update on one of the iPrint 3.0 appliances and it did not fix it.

Any one else have this issue?

Thanks for reading.

1. if you manually create a printer in imanager, can you then enable
this one in mc console as mobile?

2. Did you add a extra return at the end of the csv file when importing?

Manually created printer doesn't have mobile capability either. All the printers were imported from CSV file with no issues. All print fine but just can't enable Mobile printing. This is happening on all of our 3.0 iPrint appliances.

1. When you go into the mc console, manage appliance, printers, then you
select a printer and the menus are grayed out, correct?

2. After performing this actions, do you see any errors on the
iprintmobile0.log and iprint_mobile0.log?

As it looks like this will required some logs and info to be provided,
better to ope nan sr with Micro Focus unless you're not clicking the
printer filed hence menus are not active 🙂

Re: Mobile option grayed out on iPrint 3.0 appliances

When I launch the iprint:9443 webpage, it says "Upload the license to continue using all the features" On the licensing page, it already has the license. I've tried downloading the key again and uploading it to the appliance but this doesn't make any difference. The license say product version 3.0, expiration 2500-01-01, unlimited number of days until license expires.

Still wondering. I'm going to call support.

what which license type? there are 4 different one. If you do not have
the mobile one, then what you see is correct.

Re: Mobile option grayed out on iPrint 3.0 appliances

So here's the scoop....

Version 3.0 of the iPrint appliance requires a different license for iPrint Mobile license. The initial install allows for 60 days for feature use before it turns off. Versions 1.1 and 2.0 didn't expire the license so even though it doesn't show iPrint Mobile in the license screen, it continues to work. Now waiting to see if they can get me an updated license. The license from the Novell Customer Center, My Products entitled software doesn't include Mobile.
