Multiple entries for PSMHostAddress

We are in the process of changing out Domain name and may need to have both active for iPrint during the change over. Question is, is it possible to have more than one entry for PSMHostAddress in the ipsmd.conf file while we are changing over?

TIA

Re: Multiple entries for PSMHostAddress

Not AFAIK. So your are changing your domain name aka server1.mycompany.com to server1.newcompany.com?

Re: Multiple entries for PSMHostAddress

Yes...Exactly. As they are changing applications which use iPrint printers to the new domain, the printing will not work.

Re: Multiple entries for PSMHostAddress

Is the new DNS infrastructure built? Are clients configured to use the new DNS domain? Just thinking off the top of my head but you should be able to use conditional forwarding to resolve oldcompany.com until everything is moved over to newcompany.com. So iprint.oldcompany.com will still be resolvable from newcompany.com users and you don't need to change anything until after the migration. Then create DNS record and change the iprint manager to use iprint.newcompany.com. Users that have the printer agents installed should autoreinstall with the new print manager address. I havn't thought this through yet so there might be fails.
