Printer Dirver Profile works for Admin, not user...

I am really excited about this new fangled 'Printer Driver Profile' thing,
but it's not working as I expect it to.

I have a test server in a test tree that is Netware 6.5 Sp2. I can create
PDP's and associate them with printers.

If I install the printer (from http://server/ipp) as an administrator, works
great - the changes I applied in the profile are applied to the printer that
gets installed to the workstation. however, if I am a lowly user, no go -
the driver comes down just fine, but the settings I changed in PDP are not
there. I am using iPrint client 3.11 on both the workstation I created the
driver with and the user's workstation. Am I missing something else?

Re: Printer Dirver Profile works for Admin, not user...

I need to amend this problem a little bit - It seems to work just fine when
I install a Xerox printer driver using PDP (the changes are there) but with
an HP4000 and HP4200, the changes are not coming across... Anyone have any
ideas?

Re: Printer Dirver Profile works for Admin, not user...

Perhaps the changes for the printer that works goes into HKCU, and the
HP ones into HKLM ???

Re: Printer Dirver Profile works for Admin, not user...

Ok, but if I have AllowUserPrinters=1 in my iPrint.ini file, then shouldnt
ALL printers that a user installs be put into HKCU - isnt that 'the point'
with iPrint and NDPS?

inst of the driver.

I also do beleave, that you have found a bug, so please confirm, in
order for somebody to report this to Novell
