Printer driver profiles
Hi
Using iPrint for OES 2015 SP1
Patched the OES and SLES server yesterday and now every printer profile for Windows 10 printers are gone.
Windows 7 profiles are OK.
When I try to make a new printer profile everything works fine and no errors are displayed. But when I go to modify och try to delete a printer profile I just get the error:
"Modify Printer Driver Profile Failure. There are not any driver profiles to select."
This is only a Windows 10 problem, Windows 7 works fine
Any ideas?

Can you compare the current padbtxt.xml and padbtxt1.xml?
padbtxt1 has been created today at 1.00 AM while the padbtxt should show
the date when patch was applied or later.
Check at the end of the file if the profiles giving the error are
present on padbtxt1 but not on padbtxt file.

I've been able to see this issue if the driver profile name has a
character o nit like a hyphen, for example, win10-hp-driver.

Same problem here. Windows 7. Users get drivers removed, impossible to reinstall. In other words: this patch killed printing... 😞
I removed the patch - a collegue is trying if reinstalling the drives works now.

Hi
I compared the current padbtxt.xml and padbtxt1.xml.
The profiles are present on padbtxt1.xml (before update) and not present in padbtxt.xlm (after update)
The Windows 10 profiles does not exist and when trying to create new ones you don't receive any errors but they don't exist (no profiles to select or you can't modify/delete them). Seems that they don't get saved.

Hi
Sorry, at the end of the files the profile still exist in both padbtxt.
<ostype>windows-nt-6.2</ostype>
<cputype>x86-64</cputype>
<profilename>HP ColorLaserjet Profile</profilename>
but they don't exist when you look att the printer settings in the xml file (just for Win7)

Yes, we had to re-assign profiles, then it worked.

Micro focus engineering is aware of the problem and working on it.
A re import of the padbtxt.xml that contains all the info will fix it
Follow tid 3006957, option 2 and use the padbtxt.xml or padbtxtx.xml
that has all info.
Be sure to use the correct xml file as database will be blanked and the
info on the xml imported so only the info on the xml will be present
after the import.

The patch was: "oes2015sp1-iPrint-for-OES-Enabler-Patch".
