Problem assositaing driver with Designjet in iPrint
Hi.
Running OES2 sp3.
Existing printer object, pointing to a HP Designjet T770.
In iManager, when clicking driver tab, it seems to hang on popupwindow
with "Drivers Loading . . .".
Other printers works fine.
There is a TID about this:
http://www.novell.com/support/viewContent.do?externalId=7007336&sliceId=1
It is the problem exactlly.
I updated the server via the channels, and when looking via rpm the
novell-iprint-management -rpm is even a newer version than what
describes in the TID. In the time of writing TID it was probably the
latest in that download:
novell-iprint-management-6.3.20110104-0.8.noarch.rpm
But when doing the update it gets:
novell-iprint-management-6.3.20110427-0.7.
Is it possible that they solved the problem, and then its back in the
new version?
Any other suggestions?
/Stefan

I've got the driver associated with the console command iprintman. No way via iManager. Installation of the patch above failed:
MYSERVER:~ # rpm -Uvh novell-iprint-management-6.3.20110104-0.8.noarch.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
package novell-iprint-management-6.3.20110909-0.7 (which is newer than novell-iprint-management-6.3.20110104-0.8) is already installed
--------------------
First I had to check the name of the repos: iprintman repos -l
Then I wanted to know the driver names in each repo: iprintman driver driver_windows-nt-5.1_x86-32_en -l
Now I had enough information to invoke the iprintman command: iprintman printer "PL-MUN-160" -m --driver-winxp "HP Designjet 4000 HPGL2/RTL"
Good luck!
