RPC Errors When Using ICM
We use groups to associate iprint printers to users. When a user first
logs in after the association is made, ICM runs and tries to install the
iprint printers, but gives the following message:
Failed To Install The Remote Procedure Call Failed
Any other printer install after the first one will give this message:
Failed To Install The RPC Server Is Unavailable
After a few tries and reboots, the printers eventually install, but I have
to go through a series of reboots.
I checked the RPC services on the Windows XP sp2 workstation and they are
started. I also checked the iPrint services on the Netware 6.5 sp5 server
and all 3 are running.
Has anyone come accross this?

The RPC could be the spooler on the workstation... Try this to see if it is the same message... From a dos command prompt on the workstation type "net stop spooler" then try to install a printer from a map, default page, or using iprntcmd... You get the same error.
Sounds like there is a timing issue with the spooler becoming active in time to handle the requests the iPrint Print provider is attempting to make.
