I've been able to get a Mac OS X box that is using CUPS to print via.
IPP to
a Novell NDPS/iPrint server as long as the printer was not set to
"secure".
When the printer is set to secure is requires SSL and authentication.
I've
yet to figure out how to get CUPS to do either SSL or Authentication.
Assuming the Novell printer is configured for IPP printing (not
secure), the
url would be something like:
ipp://myiprintservername.com/ipp/name-of-printer or,
http://myiprintservername.com:631/ipp/name-of-printer
