Rename printer

Hi folks,

I know this has been covered before, but I'm looking for the "official" method to rename an iPrint printer. I've looked on the documentation and support sites and found nothing. I may be using the wrong search criteria.

Can someone show me the light?

Netware 6.5.5

Thanks,
tom

Rename printer

Here is the "official answer". Since the iPrint client only uses the PA
name in the URL (not the printer object in eDir). You can just rename it
the PA at the console and the workstations will automatically update with
the new name. If you want to change the object name for "management
reasons" that should be fine and it will not cause any problems for the
iPrint client.

Re: Rename printer

So if I wish to rename the printer object, I do that via iManager, and to rename the PA for the client, I do that via the console, if I'm reading you correctly?
