SSL error creating Printer Driver Profile

When creating a Printer driver Profile do I get the following error :
-------------------------------------
Error message : The SSL connection has been closed
Error group: SSL
Error code:6
-------------------------------------
Have a NW6.5 SP2 server in a larger multi-server tree
Uses iPrint Client 4.11 and 4.12
Log into iManager 2.02 using user with unique name and identical unique ID
User has S-rights to whole tree.

Can create Printer Driver profile on test-server in test-tree from same PC
Server runs also iFolder with another server as LDAP-server (did not want
to have all replicas on this server as well).

Since you are running the latest client and still having the problem, you
will need to get the nile.nlm from the SP4 or SP4A build to resolve this
problem.

Changed from NIPP 4.12 to 4.06 on one of the PCs and problem disappeared.
Will also try changing NILE.NLM to see if this workes also.

Peter, Thanks for tip.

You are pointing to TID:

HTTPSTK: Error 10091 enabling SSL services - SSL Disabled.
(Last modified: 17Apr2003)

Look the date or is here a never one?
My conf NW6.0 sp5 and iManager 2.02 patch 5 giving the same error with
NIPP 4.12. Problem resolved installing NIPP 4.06.

Are here 4.05/4.06 working versions and 4.11/4.12 nonworking? Differences?

nipp412.exe 07 Nov 2005 12255K iPrint Client 4.12
nipp406.exe 05 Oct 2005 10481K iPrint Client 4.06
nipp411.exe 31 Aug 2005 11959K iPrint Client 4.11 for Windows
nipp405.exe 29 Mar 2005 10462K iPrint Client 4.05 with Silent Install
option

Re: SSL error creating Printer Driver Profile

Hi Arno,

My guess is v4.11 and v4.12 are not designed to work with SP2 servers.
I can't install printers with v4.11 from SP2 servers.
Until SP2 iPrint management was partly done through httpstk. As of SP3 this
has moved to Apache/LDAP.
You should be able to use latest iprint client with this update:

Changing NILE.NLM did also the trick.
Can then use NIPP 4.12

Thanks.
