Set printer to color?

Hi All, this might be a real simple question but I can't see how to set a printer to color in iPrint for OES

In the iPrint portal I have the Location, Description, Model and Color. Color is set to No.

Where do I find the setting to change that to Yes?

I have Enable Color Printing set in Global Settings.

I don't see a method for that. Looking at my setup, all my color
printers are set to Yes except for two. I never set them one way or
the other. I wonder if iPrint is querying the printers directly to
set that. Let me do some checking.

Yep...got confirmation. iPrint is querying the printer to display
that information. So either the printer is not responding or is
responding incorrectly. When I have a moment, I will dig further and
see if I can find out how to fix mine and maybe then will have a
solution for you.

In the meantime, you could include a note about color in the
description tag for the printer.

Re: Set printer to color?

Thanks Ken.

I've set up the iPrint Appliance so I can do some testing without breaking anything and that exhibits the same behaviour. I might open a support call and see if I can get to the bottom of it.

Do let us know what you find out. I haven't had time yet to dig
further myself.

Re: Set printer to color?

I will. I've done a bit more looking and it's only our Kyocera printers that are not being picked up as color. We've got a couple of Ricoh multifunctions and they are listed as color.

Here the Lanier (Ricoh) and Konica-Minolta correctly report color. But
I have an older HP and an older Xerox that do not.
