Somebody on SP6 and iprntnw65sp6e and all is running well?

Hi!

I?d like to hear more feedback about iprint in SP6 + iprntnw65sp6e
patch. Normaly, you ready only the scenarios in forum from people with
problems - Anybody with good experience with iprint?

We have to move shortly to SP6 due to resolved issues in MM we need for
connecting Novell 6.5 Cluster to an IBM DS4800 storage. We have two
iprint servers in the cluster with aproximately 2300 printers. It would
be "bad" if iprint will go worse.

Regards,
Holger

I was one of the beta testers for that. I am currently using it and it seems
to have resolved the issues introduced with SP6. I have been working with
them since October with the LPR communication issues. Which also seems to
have been finaly fixed.

I have only 17 printers and the patch fixed the LPR and Not Bound issues we
were having.

It all depends on your printers, so it's hard to answer. There still are
some issues in 6e even, but if you will see them or not will depend on
your environment and your print devices. I have customers with a few
hindred printers running it perfectly fine now, and others with only a
handful printers where 6e still doesn't work.

At any rate, you still can go back to SP5 NDPSGW.NLM easily. It has
worked for all servers I support perfectly fine.
