The iPrint client is not installed.

Hi

I have installed iPrint client + printers onto a machine today with no problems.

I have returned later this afternoon to install another printer yet every time I try I am receiving a message stating 'The iPrint client is not installed. Do you want to install it now?'

Any attempt to install again is successful but results in the same pop up error box.

The only thing that has changed between installs are windows updates. Although I have this issue on another machine where updates have not been installed within the past week.

I am running Windows 7 32bit with IE 11.

Last time I had this I had to use Firefox; both Chrome and IE failed in this way. Once installed any browser was fine.

Which version?

This sounds like a non-current iPrint client problem with IE11.

As Massimo mentioned, IE 11 uses a different string to send its
identification to the iprint server. A fix was released on the 2013
december maintenance patch so currently only oes11sp1 and oes11sp2 has
this fix.

IE11 has to be in compatibility mode for the iprint page to work. I just ran
into this today. once the URL is added to run in compatibility mode the
printer will install with no more client not installed message.
