Unable to install printers via iPrint - Winsock 10060 error
Some, not all, of our laptops are unable to install printers from iPrint on Windows 7 systems. I've uninstalled and re-installed the iPrint client (v6.06), verified the iprint.ini settings (AllowUserPrinters = 3). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The winsock 10060 error is typically a timeout error due to a communications issue. Usually the PC or PCs in question are having an issue resolving the DNS name of the iPrint server. I would start by seeing if the PCs in question are able to ping the DNS of the iPrint server. If they can, then possibly some other comms related issue. It may require a LAN trace of the process to see why the winsock error is occurring.
