Xerox Phaser 7400DX

I am trying to push out the drivers via NDPS to all my users who are (users of their workstations) Unless you are an admin of the machine the installation says "PRINTER UNSUITABLE FOR INSTALLATION".

How can I solve this problem - this is the only printer that we have an issues with, is there a way to maybe use ZEN to push it out. We are currently not running iPrint yet.

Have you tried the tool Tommy Mikkelsen wrote that lets you extract
from a PC where you have installed. It is available on Cool Solutions.

Re: Xerox Phaser 7400DX

Thanks, but I don't think this will solve my problem. The printer installs fine via NDPS if you're an Admin of the workstation, but it fails to install if the user is just a user. I think that it maybe looking at making mods to the registry - I have the inf that Xerox has on their site.

Re: Xerox Phaser 7400DX

Dariusz,

Could very well be the case. Use Regmon and FileMon to see which keys it
tries to access during install.
