Zebra QL420+ does not print

Hello

i testet everything, but the ... printer wouldnt printer over NDPS. Over
IP Print from an workstation everything is fine. Also USB print. Did
anybody know the "Gateway Autoload Command" for this printer Typ ? At the
momment i use the following command "NDPSGW PORT=RAW
HOSTADDRESS=172.16.15.150" and the printer ist ready and idle in the
printer agent list. But print nothing. Any ideas ?

I've tested another Zebra printer for use with NDPS, couldn't get it to
work; the produces couldn't help me either. So I started searching in the
specs, I found out that all the newer internal NIC's for these Zebra's
only work with windows.. So check the documentation, if doesn't
specifically mentiones NetWare, it prbably won't support it. You could use
an external printserver.

Succes!

I don'tknow this printer myself, but I donwloaded the network user manual
form their web site. It seems the printer can operate in TCP and in LPD
mode. I don't know if the TCP mode uses port 9100 or some other port.
However in LPD mode, it should in theory be addressable by NDPS with the
option PORT=LPR and some printername option.
You can generally also cheat by installing the printer as a Windows IP
printer and then looking the properties of the printer port in Windows. It
generally shows the TCP/IP parameters being used (protocol, port number
and LPR name).

I have been tearing my hair out about printing to a Zebra Z4M Plus.

We get exactly the same problem can print through a standard TCP/IP port
but not through iPrint.

I have noticed the following error on the printer internal print server

Error:
TCP/IP: Unsupported options, packet dropped

Are you getting anything similar.

One other thing - I did have problems with one of our Zebras that seemed
to want a Cat 6 network cable - it continally dropped packets when
connected to a Cat 5 one (even though a PC would connect fine via that
cable).

The print servers are firmware version v60.14.3Z

You are not alone!
