iPrint Appliance IOS

Finding it odd that I cant find anything on this subject when it is so glaring.

The NOVELL iPrint appliance app on IOS is useless. Since IOS9 was release the 'open with' option no longer exists.. which means you can install the app, you can print images from within the app, you can add printers.. but you cant print documents.

The documentation also shows old icons.

Am I missing something obvious, has anyone got iPrint on IOS to work without using a work around method

According to Apple, 9.0.2 patch restores the "open in" functionality in
ios. Can you update to 9.0.2 and report back?

Re: iPrint Appliance IOS

My iPad is running IOS 9.1, I always keep it up to date. The open in functionality has definitely not been restored, there is no way to print anything to iPrint

FORTUNATLY most of the company is on android.. but the directors.. i.e the ones who sign off for new licensing.. i.e IPRINT.. are the ones we need to impress and they are the ones on Apple

Maybe you need to contact Apple and ask them why it was restored in
9.0.2 and not in 9.1. Maybe next 9.1 patch will have it.

Re: iPrint Appliance IOS

What version of the iPrint App do you have?

Settings | General | About/Version

I have iOS 9.1, with iPrint App version 1.1, on an iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 2 with Retina, and Open-In into iPrint works just fine.

Perhaps it's your iPrint App (again, mine is version 1.1) or maybe you have an MDM solution in place blocking Open-In?
